With Diigo, you can not only create a dynamically updated list of web resources that are easily filtered (searchable), but your students can contribute, as well. And, as the video demonstrated, you can leave sticky notes on the page that can be used to discuss the resource - right there on the page.
Getting Started
Create your account to show you're an educator. (This allows you to upload student accounts, so no email addresses are necessary for students. Find help here)
Install the Diigo Toolbar (preferred) or the Diigolet (See some other tools at the bottom of this page)
Once your account has been approved as a teacher account, you can upload student accounts. Find more information here.
What Next?
Practice.
Visit a couple of your favorite sites and practice bookmarking and tagging them.
Give some thought to your tags so that you don't have multiples of the same kind of tag. (plurals, or other versions of the same word, etc)
Visit the Diigo home page and see how to locate/filter your bookmarks
Explore Diigo Lists - a great way to collect some resources for a given topic. Add sites to the list right from your toolbar, too)
